BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Genoa, Italy 15/3/1968.

As a child she was shy and very introverted. She listened to David Bowie and the Beatles and
studied at a languages lyceum. She grew up as a rebel, then ended up being elected as
“Miss Liguria” or “Miss Lido” at the age of 16. She did a Fininvest screen-test together
with other candidates from Eva Grimaldi to
Alba Parietti. In 1985, Johnny Dorelli
began to present “Premiatissima” assisted by Sabrina Salerno. Silvio Berlusconi,
now Italy’s PM, had predicted that she would become a star, and this became
true. Talent master Claudio Cecchetto produced her first single for Five Records.
Her hit single, “Sexy Girl” climbed the charters in Italy and Germany in 1985.
Her career expanded to include tv-movies, dancing, singing, until in 1987
she recorded her first album “Sabrina”. The first single from this
was “Boys’, number one in Europe, Scandinavia, the UK charts, South America
and Australia. She also had many Gold and Platinum records including Hit
Singles including Hot Girl (in Holland) and Lady Marmalade (in France).
She recorded, in 1988, the single “All of me” produced by the legendary
SAW trio (Stock Aitken and Waterman), followed by “My Chico” produced by
Elvio Moratto. In a few weeks she was back in the European Top Ten. My Chico
was No 1 in Italy and she won the award of “Best European Singer of the Year”
at Festivalbar.
Her second Album “Super Sabrina” came out in 1988/89. Produced by
Giorgio Moroder, the first single was “Like A Yoyo” which became the theme-song
of the tv show Odience. Sabrina had a part in this show together with
Lorella Cuccarini, Ezio Greggio and Gianfranco D’Angelo.
In 1989 returning to the music industry, she gave a live concert in Moscow, and in 1991 she sang the single
“Siamo Donne” in the Festivalbar together with Jo Squillo.
In 1999 her new album “A flower is broken” was released in Italy and Spain.
In October 2008 she has relaunched herself with a new greatest hits album called
Erase/Rewind, which includes new versions of her hits and new tracks and cover versions.
In 2010 she has launched a new single (a remake of Blondie’s classic hit “Call Me”) together with 80′s porn starlet turned disco diva Samantha Fox (with whom a long time “pretend” rivalry existed since the 80′s).
